Copyright and Licensing Policy

Authors who publish in AKYAS: Multidisciplinary Research Journal agree to the following terms:

1. Copyright and First Publication

Authors retain copyright of their work and grant the journal the right of first publication. Articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license, permitting others to share and adapt the work with proper attribution to the author and acknowledgment of initial publication in this journal.

2. Additional Agreements

Authors may enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for non-exclusive distribution of the published version of the article (e.g., institutional repositories or books), provided that initial publication in this journal is acknowledged.

3. Online Distribution

Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., institutional repositories or personal websites) before and during the submission process to foster academic exchange and increase citation impact.

Publication License

1. License Terms

All materials published by AKYAS are protected by international copyright laws and licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) or an equivalent license.

This license allows users to:

  • Share (copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format)

  • Adapt (remix, transform, and build upon the material), even for commercial purposes

Under the following conditions:

  • Proper attribution must be given

  • A link to the license must be provided

  • Changes must be indicated

  • Derivative works must be distributed under the same license

2. Author’s Warranty

The author warrants that:

  • The article is original

  • It has not been previously published

  • It does not contain unlawful statements

  • It does not infringe on the rights of others

  • All necessary written permissions have been obtained

3. User Rights

Under CC BY-SA 4.0, users are free to share and adapt the work with appropriate attribution.

4. Author Rights

Authors retain:

  • Copyright and other proprietary rights (e.g., patent rights)

  • The right to use the article in future works (lectures, books, etc.)

  • The right to reproduce the article for personal use (not for sale)

  • The right to self-archive the article

5. Co-Authorship

If the article is co-authored, the signing author confirms authorization from all co-authors to enter into this agreement on their behalf.

6. Termination

This agreement may be terminated by either party with two months’ notice in case of material breach not remedied within one month after written notification. Termination does not occur automatically without due process.

7. Royalties

This agreement does not entitle the author to royalties or other compensation. To the extent permitted by law, authors waive the right to collect royalties related to the article’s use by the journal or its sublicensees.

8. Miscellaneous

The journal will publish the article upon successful completion of the editorial process. The journal may adjust punctuation, spelling, capitalization, and formatting according to its style standards. Articles are published in open access and made freely available to the public. The journal may grant sublicenses of the rights granted under this agreement.
